busser magnet concept

With a background in hospitality, I wanted to see if I could make bussing a table easier with a magnet. The concept was proven to work, but it needs more power, perhaps an electromagnet with help from a battery pack to strengthen the charge.

While this is not going to solve the world’s problems, I thought it was necessary to explore how this could potentially operate.

Perhaps maybe a busser’s tray or cart could be further creatively engineered, so we can maybe make some wands, a wand for plucking the silverware, and another wand for wiping the table clean. Maybe some tongs to pick up the napkins, or a squeegie tong that could remove leftover food. A squeegie wand to clean the plates before they make it to the dishwasher. Hey, maybe one day we’ll have a robot doing this job so in my opinion it’s always worth troubleshooting new ideas!
